اللّٰھم صلِّ علیٰ سیدنا مُحَمّد  May Allah protect us all against His punishment! We should never be careless and fearless of Allah's punishment. Lo! See! The Holy Quran is pronouncing openly

اَفَاَمِنَ اَھْلُ الْقُرٰٓی الخ﴿ سورۃ الاعراف ۷۹ تا ۹۹﴾

"So, do the people of the towns feel themselves immune to Our punishment that may befall them at night while they are asleep? Or do the people of the towns feel themselves immune to Our punishment that may befall them in broad day-light while they are at play? Do they feel secure from Allah's plan? None can feel secure from Allah's plan except the people who are losers." (Al-A'raf: 97-99)
Have you witnessed how clear the verses are? There is mobile in the hand and the sins drip from the eyes when all of a sudden Allah's punishment befalls. The people who receive such a jerk but do not lose their lives should offer thanks to Allah because they still gain time to repent of sins otherwise some jerks of punishment do not give the time to repent. Allah! Allah! Allah! Lo, See! Water has entered the cities and towns of Sind. Ah! Sind is being drowned. Our misdeeds have coerced sweet blessing of water into punishment. Nearly 400,000,0 people have turned homeless, but unruly water does not stop. Now, its direction is towards the Punjab. The ravages of the last flood were not overcome that a new flood has come. Ah Pakistan who got injured from within and out in a period of ten years. There are bombing, fights, explosions and operations. A mad ape fired Pakistan and escaped leaving such people behind him as air that fire. This is the end of the people who desert Allah and opt for slavery of the Satan. America attacked Afghanistan with all her might but so many people were not killed there as have been killed in Pakistan. Still the rulers claim that they have saved Pakistan by siding with America. 

O Muslim brothers and sisters, the matter will not be solved just by imprecating the rulers. We shall have to take stock of ourselves. Lo, See, the water of flood is at hand. Just think now, whether we are advancing or reverting in the matters of Deen, whether our direction is to the paradise or to the hell. Is our Belief progressing or falling? So many people say, "We used to do such and such good deed but that is not done now." This is the sign of fall. Mu'min is the man that every day whose life is better than the past one because as much Kalima Tayyiba grows old, its colouring strengthen. If we were good but now have grown worse, it is a matter of fear because it is the sign of the fact that we have detached from the Kalima. If we have been connected with the power house of the Kalima, there would have been ever new strength, ever new current and ever new stage of Belief. Lo, See! Water is advancing in the shape of flood. We should recite from the core of the heart. , 

Our holy Prophet  would pray اللّٰھُمَّ لَاتُؤْمِنَّا مَکْرَکَ. O Allah, do not render us fearless of Your sudden punishment. مکر اللہ  means Allah's hidden planning and His sudden punishment. It is a state when man begins to regard sin as goodness or he is adamant to his stand that Allah's punishment cannot befall him because he does such and such good deed. Allah! Allah! Allah! Have a look at the lives of Sahaabah that they always feared and trembled despite doing so great good deeds but we are the people who do one or two good deeds covered with pretension but grow fearless of Allah's punishment. My dear, we should enumerate our sins. Someone is non-establisher of prayers, the other one's prayer is affected with negligence and hence lifeless. Lie does not separate from the mouth. The sacks of pride, haughtiness, adamancy and pretension are loaded at our backs. Faces and dresses are not according to the Sunnah. Marriages are anti-Sharia in every respect. There are fairs of innovations and sites. There is bashlessness, unveiling and immodesty in every house. So much so the tongue of the wife does not observe veil for her husband. Allah has made husband and wife the dress and honour for each other but this dress is torn and honour is disgraced in every house now. Eyes, tongues, faces and even thoughts are immodest and obscene. On gaining solitude, everyone forgets that his Allah is with him. There is bribery, corruption, dishonesty, usury and misappropriation in collective goods. Everyone is worried about his world, life-style and bright future. Allah! Allah! Allah! O Muslim, what has become of you? So deep love for wealth? Pardon! Pardon! Brother is the enemy of the brother and there are fights in every house for the sake of wealth. How will you go and face Allah? Is there anyone who may repent sincerely and seek refuge with Allah against worldliness? Is there anyone who may repent sincerely and seize firmly? Look to Mercy, Forgiveness and Forbearance of Allah that the door of repentance is open all the time. Someone may come and note.

Hazrat Ibrahim bin Shebaan says that there was a twenty years old youth with them. Once, the Satan went to him and began to say "O youth, you have hastened in repenting. Enjoy the world for a few days more. Repentance is at your beck and call. When you begin to grow old, do repent." He was duped by the Satan and was again lost in sins but his nature and lot were good. He realized after a few days. He sat in loneliness, began to recall the days of goodness and began to weep how good those days were and began to say, "I do not know if Allah forgives me or not." He heard the voice all of a sudden.

"O youth, you worshipped Us, We helped you, then you disobeyed Us, We delayed. Now, you have come again, We will accept you." (Baihaqi)

The method is very easy. Do not place anyone between you and Allah in the matters of Deen. Sincere love for Allah, sincere fear of Allah and every deed sincerely for Allah. If a Muslim spends only one day of his life thus, there will be the Light of Kalima in his body. We have clung our Deen with the people. We are staunch Muslims when people are watching us otherwise sinners. Whenever there is a good deed, there is anxiety to tell the people about it under one pretext or the other. If good deed is done secretly, we worry that people may value and respect us. Such good deeds do not go a long way, they are left in the world. What use will they do in the Hereafter?

O brothers and sisters, the matter of Deen should be solely for Allah. Lo! See! The water of flood has reached the thresholds. If our Deen is correct, no worry of any flood or earthquake or getting burnt or getting killed. If repentance is not granted, there is all loss. Allah is our Lord. He is our Creator. He is very kind to us. He created us. We are to return to Him after death. Let us resolve to please Allah and to follow every of His dictate. Everyone who is blessed with this resolution will be immune to punishment. Allah converts the past sins of such people into goodnesses. It is written in "Kitaab Attawwaabeen" that there was a holy lady in Madina. She had a son who was very negligent and sinner. That lady advised him to repent whenever she found a chance saying, "See, how heinous death those died who led a life of negligence in past and how bad end they met. O son, remember death and get busy in preparing for it." But her advice would fall flat upon the son. He would hear her advice but would go out whistling and saying, "There is Allah's great grace." Days passed thus. Once Hazrat Abu Aamir Al-Banaani went to Madina in Ramazaan. People requested him to address them. So, the time of address was fixed after Tarawih on the Friday night. People assembled. Luckily, that young man also went there. The Sheikh started the address. There was persuasion and warning, fondness for paradise and fear of hell. True words of true Lord came to the view. The dead hearts began to revive. That youth changed and advice percolated in his heart. He went direct to his mother and began to weep spontaneously, "O mother, repentance has today opened all the locks of my heart. O mother, the praise of Allah's praiser has shattered all the Satanic chains. O mother, I have also said yes to the call. Will our Lord accept the sinner like me? If He does not accept me, it will be very bad for me." Then he got busy in worship. He observed fast all the day long and worshipped the whole night and remembered Allah all the time. After a few days, he suffered from high degree of fever. He kept worshipping Allah for four days in his fever and weakness. One day, he said in a supplication, "O Allah, I disobeyed You when I was strong. I began to obey You when I am weak. I offended You when I was strong. When I became weak, I began to work for You. Accept me please!" Saying this, he fell down unconscious. When his mother called and consoled him, his consciousness returned and he began to say, "O mother, the time of which you would frighten me has come. Alas for the days devoid of worship. I fear, I will have to remain in Fire for a long time due to my sins. O mother, place your foot at my face for Allah's sake so that Allah may be kind to me seeing my disgrace." The mother did so and he died. On Friday night, the mother saw him in her dream that the face of her son was shining like the moon. She said, "O son, what did Allah do with you?" He said, "He treated me very well and blessed me with a very high position." The mother said, "What happened with Abu Aamir?" Abu Aamir was the preacher due to whose preaching the young man had been blessed with guidance. Then he had also died. The young man said, "What relation between we and Abu Aamir." Then he recited a few verses whose gist is as under:

Abu Aamir has been kept in a dome whose lowest ends are high for the other dwellers of paradise like the High Throne. He is among the celestial wives who bring filled glasses and offer him saying, " Take this! Take this!" Congratulations to you who would advise the people.

O Muslims, the door of repentance is open. Be vigilant, lest it should shut at once at any moment. Stop now. So great is negligence and so many sins. We should from very today rather this moment recite the Kalima Tayyiba  with certainty, repent all of our sins, correct the matter of our prayers, intend for Jihaad in the way of Allah and make good pleasure of Allah and Hereafter our object. The way to repentance is charming, resplendent and peaceful. ,
