May Allah protect us all against hardness of the heart! The heart is hardened due to sinning, over-speaking and over-eating. The Holy Quran has pronounced ruination for the people whose hearts are hardened. It is 29th of Shabaan today. It is very much possible that the month of Ramazan may start from tomorrow. Let us now pray much and work hard to correct our hearts.

The Subjective News

We always labour out to collect news of the objective world as to who will become president either Asif Zardary or Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddique or some one else? What do the neighbours say? What type of such and such men and women are? The whole of our life is spent in listening, understanding and sorting out the news of the objective world. It is fair to some extent. But being curious of others' situation, searching out their weak points and stating them is a harmful thing. Numerous high-ranked people fall into failure, loss and sins due to searching out and stating others' weak points. Now let us try to search out the "Subjective News" in this month of the Ramazan. For example:

(1) What happens in the grave? It is certain that we are to die and go to the grave.

(2) What is the state of our heart? Is it mild or hard? Does it remember Allah or remains negligent? Is it cowardly or brave, greedy and avaricious or patient and generous?

(3) Which vices are found in us?

Then if the anxiety to adorn the grave, to tame the heart and to purify oneself is created, the cure is very easy. Describe to Allah all in detail. Although Allah knows all yet begging pardon after confessing sins opens the doors of Allah's special Mercy.

We should pray to Allah well for each of our malady, disease and weakness. Man is generally closer to Allah in fasting. Hazrat Junaid Baghdady says: "Fasting is half of mysticism." (Kashf-ul-Mahjoob)

A Special Cure For The Apprehensions (Doubts) of The Heart

Make sure that Allah is All-Seeing. He sees and knows the thoughts that run across our hearts. There is no scope for any doubt in it. The Noble Quran pronounces again and again

Moreover, the Noble Quran says:

"He knows the dishonesty of the eyes and secrets of the hearts."

A chief of Basra, one day, went to his garden. When he caught sight of the beauty of his farmer's wife, he fell in love with her. Therefore, he sent the farmer away on the pretext of some job. Then he said to the woman, "Shut all the doors." The woman said, "I may shut all the doors save the one for which I have no power." He said, "Which door is that?" She said, "It is the door that is between us and Allah." Hearing this, the chief felt ashamed and begged pardon of Allah.

Whenever evil thoughts begin to run across the heart, raise the voice at once, "O immodest, Allah is Seeing you." Afterwards when apprehensions begin to run across the heart, raise the same voice. The heart will go on purifying by the grace of Allah. The light will descend upon it instead of vice.

Hunger Is The Diet of Soul

Man's body needs food whereas his soul is strengthened due to hunger.

"Hunger produces humility in Self (Nafs) and fear of Allah in the heart." That is why; it is said:

"Hunger is the food of the Truthful." (Kashf-ul-Mahjoob)

It is said about the elderly saints that they made full use of the month of Ramazan and enjoyed hunger well. One is wondered to read the incidents of these people. On the other hand, we people become anxious of eatables at the start of Ramazan, and in this way, we miss the chance of correcting the heart by arranging ever new Iftari and Sahary .

May Allah be kind to us all and make the month of Ramazan the source of our absolution!

Fasting Should Be Complete

Our fasting will be complete only when we control all our senses, do not speak against Sharia, neither listen nor touch nor tread but keep the heart and all the limbs busy in obedience and worship of Allah. Hazrat Ali bin Usman Hajvery says:

Correct intentions and true condition are essential for every fast. However, numerous conditions are essential to restrain the Self. Therefore, man will be true faster when he hampers his belly from eating, controls his eyes from sexual sight, hinders his ears from listening to backbiting, controls his tongue from useless and futile talk and protects the body from obedience to the world and opposition of Sharia because the Holy Prophet has said:

"When you observe fast, it is obligatory to you that your ears, your eyes, your tongue, your hands and every of your limb may observe fast." And he said:

"There are many fasting people who gain nothing from their fasting than remaining hungry and thirsty."

I (Hazrat Sheikh Hajvery) visited the Holy Prophet in dream and said to him : O Prophet of Allah, give me a piece of advice please. He said, "Control your senses." (Kashif-ul-Mahjoob)

Agilities of The Enemies

The Holy Prophet had come to Madina. His companions were weak and scattered on three territories i.e. Madina, Makkah and Abyssinia. When the Muhajireen came to Madina, the poor Ansaar joined them equally in their properties and houses. The economy of Madina was under the control of the Jews. They were not pleased with the arrival of the Muslims there. This small Islamic group pinched the Pagans much. The Polytheists held meetings daily. The Jews held conspiracies daily. The wrath of the Hypocrites was also nourishing secretly. In this situation, the Ramazan of 2 AH approached. Allah's special blessing descended upon the Believers. Agilities of the enemies were at their peak that all of a sudden, the Holy Prophet ordered the Muslims to go out for Jihad. 313 weak and unarmed Muslims with swords, cudgels, sticks and stones set off. The Messenger of Allah was leading the army. There was strange excitement and passion. Abu Sufyan's Caravan escaped. Abu Jahl's strong army confronted. Satan with all his might came out in the field. Abul Jahl was saying that it would be the fight for a few moments. They would kill all and bind and take the rest with them. The Holy Prophet was prostrating before Allah at the last hours of the night. Hazrat Siddique-e-Akbar(RA) was also with him. They were crying, there will be no one on the earth to worship you if this small group is killed." Then the sky looked to the earth smiling. It rained cats and dogs. Hazrat Jibrail put on Jihad uniform. One thousand Mujahid angles also descended with him and the situation changed in the twinkling of an eye. Abul Jahl's pride fell into a blind well in the form of a carcass.

Allah-o-Akbar! That group was saved. It worked hard and hence Islam reached us. Some of us are the progeny children and some are Spiritual Children of that group. We also pronounce the same (Kalma) as they pronounced.

Now, there are agilities of the enemy against us. There is the pride of big fleets and air power. There are the voices, "Kill them, wipe them out and bind them." There is the Indian attack at Kashmir, Israilite attack at Palestine and Allied attack at other Muslim countries. We, who are called Mujahid; our rulers fortify their chairs by selling us. Everyone boards the planes, goes to a foreign country and pledges to kill, arrest and suppress us and in lieu of it, he earns some post and dollars. Bombs, missiles and bullets are being shot at the Ummah of the dear lord . In this situation, the month of Ramazan has started. we are Your slaves and the Ummah of Your dear Prophet , "Forgive us! Be kind to us! Bless this Ummah with the scene of the "Ghazwa-e-Badr" in this month of Ramazan!"
