The people who embraced Islam at the hands of Hazrat Nuh (AH) were very few, only a handful. The Holy Quran itself says:

"Those who believed with him were very few."

Some commentators say that they were approx eighty ladies and gents. Allah was pleased with those handful. They boarded a boat and escaped punishment and their progeny continued till the Doomsday whereas Allah ruined the majority. O Allah, we love those handful people who believed in Hazrat Nuh (AS) and are acquitted of the majority who falsified your Prophet and were entitled to Your Torment.

The Holy Quran tells us that Pharaoh also taunted the same to those who believed in Hazrat Moosa (AS) that they are "a few" and want to enslave the majority. We will crush them by force. The Holy Quran tells us the following verses:

So Pharaoh sent into the cities (his) men to muster up (people) saying "These are a small band, and indeed they are enraging us and we are a host, well armed."

Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Islam writes:

(Pharaoh said) These few people have pestered us whereas they have no authority and power to counter you. He said this in order to instigate the nation.

The Holy Quran also tells us that Pharaoh was frightening his nation that those handful of people wanted to occupy the country. Then what happened? Allah liked those few people because they obeyed Allah's Prophet. Allah formed passages in the sea and saved them but drowned Pharaoh with his majority. O the readers of the Al-Qalam, tell me please, "Are you with the successful minority or with the drawning majority? With whom do you like to be erected on the day of Judgement?" The Holy Quran pronounces:

Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) pessuaded his father and the nation but the majority did not believe.

"And most of them were not to believe."

Hazrat Nuh (AS) persuaded his nation to Monotheism for 950 years, but most of the people did not believe. (As-Shuara 121) Hazrat Hood (AS) persuaded his nation to believe in Allah but most of the people didn't. Same was the case with the enlightened nation of Hazrat Loot (AS). The majority did not believe and same was the case with the nations of Hazrat Shuaib (AS) and Hazrat Saalih (AS). The Holy Quran also tells us that a few people believed and succeeded. It becomes clear that success depends not upon majority or minority but upon Belief and Din. The Holy Prophet laboured away for thirteen years in Makkah to persuade the people to Din but very few believed. Abu Jahl would also say, "They are handful." So much so, he was regarding the Muslim army to in the Ghazwa-E-Badr as "The handful." In Arabic, the word are used for it. But these handful people were true believers. Allah granted them with success but Abu Jahl with the haughtiness of his majority entered hell.

The Pakistani rulers perhaps have close relations with Pharaoh and Abu Jahl. The religious sect seems to them "handful" also.

When venerable Parvez Musharrif resumed power, his first statement was, "The supporters of beard and veil in Pakistan are only one percent and these one percent individuals have no right to impose their opinion upon the 99%." But after sometime, there occurred a change in his numbering and he said, "These fundamentalists are only 15%." Mr. Pervez Musharrif was the most unpopular person of the world. A few generals had made him President. Still he taunted that religious people were very few and handful. Now-a-days, he is all alone in his house whereas there is rush of the crowds of youngmen to seek admission to the Madaaris of Pakistan. Allah be thanked, every religious centre and task is populated. Parvez Musharrif's life is all very horrible. But, while going away, he did the task that may perhaps lighten his ignominy. There was a robber in a certain area. People were very upset due to him and would curse for him as much they could. When that robber grew old, he yearned to be praised by people after his death. He consulted the advisers. Everyone called it impossible because every house was burning with oppression and everybody of the area was troubled due to him. They were not mad that they would call him good after his death. One of his advisers was worldly wise. He said, "I have a suggestion. Hand over this area to such and such robber after your death. He is so greedy, avaricious and cruel that he sells even the parts of the dead bodies. When he starts oppression in this area, the people will remember you with good words that the previous robber was so good that he did not disgrace the dead bodies." Mr. Parvez Musharrif has also acted upon this suggestion. He has handed over the government to the people who have forced the people to recall Parvez Musharrif within a few days. There is neither flour, nor electricity nor light nor other necessities. Seeing the bills of electricity, people lose wits. The entire country is being pushed into war in obedience to America. Now, there is only the one slogan at everyone's lips "We will not let a few people work. We will extirpate them." This democracy is a strange trouble for the people. If the irreligious people get more votes, they, in the intoxication of majority, begin to pester the Muslims. If, at some places, the religious people get more votes, the army usurps the government. The Al-Jazaarian Islamic Parties had made a front named "Solvation Front." It won 85% seats in the elections. I happened to go to Jeddah those days. There was great clamour there about the leaders of the Front. Burhaan-ud-Din was called a Majahid those days but he nourished "Raam" in the heart. He said in a meeting, "The Al-Jazaarians will also tell us the methods of the domination of Islam." But what happened then? There was an order from America. The military nullified the elections, usurped the government and sent the Front Leaders into jail. The "Majlis-e-Amal" won many seats in the last elections. They framed their government in N.W.F.P. But what happened? Even the SHO's did not obey the provincial ministers. Now the PPP is proud of its majority. If you are in majority, let us ask the masses, what they want, American slavery? Dearness? National disgrace? Our currency rate has fallen 2.5 in comparison with the Bangaladeshi and 5 point than Afghan currency. Does the majority need this? There are raids and ban on Islamic, religious and Jihad organizations whereas we told seven years ago that those restrictions would hand over the country to the black winds. There was war neither in Waziristan nor in Swat at that time. Mr. Parvez Musharrif oppressed the Pakistanis much to prove his loyalty to America. As a reaction to these oppressions, many people stood up and civil war broke out in the country and the Muslims began to slaughter one another. When, at that time, we tried to tell some officials about its results, they would laugh with scorn and say, "You are threatening us? We know how to control the situation." A few days before the ban on our organization, I was arrested. Many officials came to threaten me. I said to them, "If you ban the legal Jihad, illegal war will break out. The Mujahideen will be free. There will be no one to control and guide them. They will take up arms in reaction to your oppression."

At this, a high official said, "Be satisfied in prison. We know how to control the situation." Another officer said, "Perhaps you want to frighten and blackmail the government." But what happened? Nearly twenty thousand individuals have been killed in the internal war of Pakistan. Does the majority of the country want this?

O rulers! Fear Allah. Think of your grave and the Last Day. The entire country is burning and there is the slogan on your lips: "A handful, A handful." Do you not know that a handful of gunpowder razes down the high buildings? Then why do you not spread peace and love among the people and get Light of Guidance from the Holy Quran? Why do you not stop obeying the Americans? Now, the world is advancing to the prevalence of Islam and the high columns of Kufr are going to fall. Now, capitalism is also going to meet its end after communism. So, separate yourselves from the army of the Pagans. Allah has prepared the Fire of hell for the Pagans. Do join the ranks of the Believers and inculcate the following verse of the Noble Quran into your hearts:

Said those who believed in their having to meet Allah: "How many small groups have overcome large groups by the will of Allah. Allah is with those who remain patient."

Keep it in mind, whatever the Holy Quran says, is always absolutely true and correct.
