2. Studies have proved that every individual has his own unique pattern of understanding and that patterns are usually one of the following:
• A visual pattern, i.e. one looks at the world and deals with it from a physical point of view.
• A hearing pattern, i.e. one looks at the world and deals with it based on the words that one hears (one better understands by hearing).
• An emotion-based pattern, i.e. one looks at the world through one’s emotions and inner feelings.

The people who embraced Islam at the hands of Hazrat Nuh (AH) were
very
few, only a handful. The Holy Quran itself says:
![]()
"Those who believed with him were very few."
Some commentators say that they were approx eighty ladies and gents.
Allah was pleased with those handful. They boarded a boat and escaped
punishment and their progeny continued till the Doomsday whereas Allah
ruined the majority. O Allah, we love those handful people who
believed
in Hazrat Nuh (AS) and are acquitted of the majority who falsified
your
Prophet
and were
entitled to Your Torment.

May Allah raise the degree of status of Hazrat Abul-Fazal Muhammad bin
Hasan Alkhatli
! He
was a great scholar of Tafseer and Tradition and a great saint. He used
to say. ![]()
"This world is for one day and we are fasting on this day."
It means that the life in this world is short and we are like a fast observer that we do not indulge in it much but are bound. He used to say: When Allah intends to bless someone with the crown of sanctity and government, He grants him with the power to beg pardon of Allah then He sends him to serve any of His friend so that that service may become the cause of his nobility."
It means there are two ways of becoming Allah's saint: Begging pardon and company and service of Allah's saints.

May Allah pay the debts of all the indebted Muslims and protect us all
against debt! Debt is a very tough trial. The Holy Prophet
has described it
joining it with Kufr. Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri reports that he heard the
Holy Prophet
praying thus:
![]()
"O Allah, I seek refuge with You from Kufr and debt."
A man said, "O Prophet of Allah, you call debt equal to Kufr." He said,
"Yes" (Nisai, Haakim, At-Targheeb)
According to another report, he
called, "debt" the
sign of degradation.

There has been a holy saint named Haatim Asim. Today, I am to narrate
one of his sayings. It is said about Hazrat Haatim Asim that he is the "Hakeem
Luqman" of this Ummah.

He was the "Follower of the Follower"
and a
great scholar, saint and Imaam. He is one of the elderly saints of Balkh.
Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi says about him
i.e. the
Siddique of our times was Haatim Asim. Hazrat Haatim had often been
visitng Hazrat Imaam Ahmad bin Hanbal. He was a Mujahid and he took part
in many expeditions and battles.
This is a brief introduction of Hazrat Haatim Asim. He says: Satan says to me daily, "What will you eat, what will you put on and where will you live?" I say to him: "I shall eat death, put on coffin and live in the grave."
